biografische gegevens van eddie floyd Eddie Floyd is een Amerikaans zanger die in 1935 in Montgomery, Alabama, geboren wordt. Floyd zingt vnl. gospelmuziek. Zo vinden we hem als lid van The Falcons. Grootste bekendheid kreeg hij in het midden van de jaren zestig als hij bij Stax meewerkt aan de totstandkoming van de Memphis Sound. In 1967 resulteert dit in de hits 'Knock on wood', waarmee Floyd's naam voorgoed wordt gemaakt.
