biografische gegevens van les zazous Les Zazous is een gitaarpopband uit Katwijk. De groep ontstaat in het midden van de jaren tachtig uit de resten van Sleepless Nights, ook een groep uit Katwijk, en bestaat uit: JAN VAN DER PLAS: zang, gitaar GIJS VAN DER BENT: gitaar MARC LAMAN: bas .. ex-the line HIDDE SIKKES: drums (eerst nog: Jan van Egmond) De grote doorbraak vindt in de jaren tachtig niet plaats. De jaren negentig laten een langzame maar gestage opmars zien. Het leidt tot radio-sessies en tournee's met oa. Alex Chilton, The dB's, The Lemonheads, World Party en Radiohead. Tot de groep behoren in deze periode oa. ook Marcel Willemsen, Frank-Jan Kat en Cor Willemse. In 1998 is Les Zazous aan haar vierde album toe.
