biografische gegevens van ian parry IAN PARRY is een Engelse rockzanger die in het midden van de jaren tachtig te vinden is bij de Nederlandse hardrockgroep Hammerhead. In 1990 wordt Ian Parry de nieuwe zanger van de Nederlandse hardrock-formatie Vengeance. Parry blijft er tot het uiteenvallen van de groep in 1992. In 1993 debuteert Ian Parry met "Symphony of dreams" als solo-artiest. Er volgen snel nog twee albums van hem die tonen dat Ian zich prima thuisvoelt in de Nederlandse hardrock-scene: de albums worden gemaakt met Nederlandse musici, waaronder ex-Vengeance maatje Arjen Lucassen. Ian Parry is ook vertegenwoordigt op "The final experiment", het album waarop Ayreon (= Arjen Lucassen) in 1995 zijn kunsten toont. In 1995 treedt Ian Perry toe tot de Nederlands metalformatie Elegy. De groep is op dat moement al bijzonder populair in Japan. In 1999 verschijnt opnieuw een solo-album van Ian Parry.
