biografische gegevens van sandy denny De oudste opnamen van Sandy Denny dateren van 1966. De plaat is na het succes van Fairport Convention pas uitgegeven. In 1967 sluit Sandy zich aan bij The Strawbs. Ze neemt met de groep "All our own work" op, een plaat die pas in 1974 wordt uitgebracht. In 1968 sluit Sandy Denny zich aan bij de Engelse popgroep Fairport Convention. Ze wordt er de zangeres tot 1970 van de folkrock-groep. In 1970 richt ze haar eigen band Fotheringay op. Deze groep wordt in 1971 weer ontbonden en Sandy maakt een aantal solo-lp's, om in 1973 weer terug te keren bij Fairport Convention. In 1976 stapt Sandy weer op. Met haar man, Trevor Lucas, werkt ze aan de volgende solo-lp. In 1978 valt Sandy bij vrienden van de trap, ligt een week in coma en overlijdt.
