biografische gegevens van dolly dots De Dolly Dots is een Nederlandse meidengroep die geleid werd door Peter van Asten en Richard Dubois. De dames zijn bedoeld als oogstrelende schoonheden die een deuntje kunnen zingen, maar willen gaandeweg meer. De groep bestaat uit: ANGELA GROOTHUIZEN .. ex-howling hurricane ANGELA KRAMERS RIA BRIEFFIES .. ex-vips ESTHER OOSTERBEEK .. ex-rhinestone allstars PATTY ZOMER ANITA HEILKER De meidengroep scoort hit na hit en ook de albums lopen als een trein. Na "Thirst!" verlaat de zwangere Anita Heilker de groep. De overgebleven dames gaan voortaan met zijn vijven verder en kiezen daarvoor meteen twee nieuwe producers: Jochem Fluitsma en Eric van Tijn. Anita Heilker laat na de bevalling opnieuw van zich horen als Anita: In 1986 brengt zij een aantal singles en een album uit. De Dolly Dots gaan nog een paar jaar als vijftal verder, maar vallen in 1988 toch uit elkaar. Het is daarna vooral Angela Groothuizen die erg succesvol is. Met Angela & the Rude begint ze een samenwerking met Ruud Mulder. In de jaren negentig verschijnt ze steeds vaker als presentatrice op de tv.
