biografische gegevens van idle race The Idle Race was een Engelse popgroep uit Birmingham die van 1965 tot 1972 bestond. Aanvankelijk bestond de groep uit: JEFF LYNNE: lead gitaar, zang DAVE PRITCHARD: gitaar, zang GREG MASTERS: bas, zang ROGER SPENCER: drums In 1970 verlaat Jeff Lynne de groep. Hij begint dat jaar met Electric Light Orchestra. Lynne's plaats wordt opgevuld door twee nieuwe bandleden: zanger/gitarist Mike Hopkins en zanger Dave Walker.
