biografische gegevens van counting crows COUNTING CROWS is een Amerikaanse rockgroep met folkinvloeden die in 1993 door Adam Duritz wordt opgericht. ADAM DURITZ: zang DAVID BRYSON: gitaar CHARLES GILLINGHAM: keyboards MATT MALLEY: bas STEVE BOWMAN: drums De groep was meteen succesvol. Het debuutalbum "August and everything after", dat geproduceerd werd door T-Bone Burnett, verkocht alleen al in de USA meer dan 6 miljoen exemplaren. In 1996 verschijnt de opvolger "Recovering the satellites". Daarop is drummer Steve Bowman vervangen door Ben Mize. Bovendien is er in de persoon van Dan Vickrey een extra gitarist aangetrokken.
