biografische gegevens van junkie xl JUNKIE XL is een Nederlandse dance-act uit 1997. De groepsnaam staat voor Tom Holkenborg, die op het debuut "Saturday Teenage Kick" een strakke dancegroove laat horen met zware hip hop-beats. Holkenborg is al vanaf eind jaren tachtig actief in de Nederlandse popmuziek. Eerst binnen de groep Weekend at Waikiki, daarna bij het duo Nerve. Holkenborg wordt op dat debuut bijgestaan door oa.
