biografische gegevens van houwitser Houwitser is een Nederlandse death metal-groep uit 1997. Een jaar later verschijnt "Death... but not buried", een album met klassieke deathmetal, uitgevoerd door musici die vnl. van Sinister afkomstig zijn: MIKE VAN MASTRIGT: zang .. ex-sinister MICHEL ALDERLIEFSTEN: gitaar .. ex-sinister THEO VAN EEKELEN: bas .. ook in judgement day AAD KLOOSTERWAARD: drums .. ook spelend in sinister In de volgende jaren bevrijdt de groep zich steeds meer van het old school deathmetal geluid en perfectioneerd zich in een eigentijds geluid, dat zich kan meten met buitenlandse acts. In 2000 verschijnt Alex Paul als extra-gitarist. Ook hij heeft weer een link met Sinister. Eind 2001 verschijnt alweer het derde Houwitser-album, "Rage inside the womb".
