biografische gegevens van tumbleweeds The Tumbleweeds is een Nederlandse countrygroep uit de jaren zeventig. De groep, die afkomstig is uit Waalwijk, is vooral een de beginperiode een echte familieband. In 1974 bestaat de groep uit: INE MASSEURS: leadzang RUUD HERMANS: leadzang, ritme-gitaar TON MASSEURS: pedal steel, gitaar, harmonica BERRY MASSEURS: 6 & 12 string ritme-gitaar MICKEY DE BOER: basgitaar AD MASSEURS: drums Rond 1976 wordt Ruud Hermans vervangen door Ed Jongerden. Hermans begint voor zichzelf. Via de Ruud Hermans Band komt hij terecht bij Tulsa. De Tumbleweeds kennen in deze jaren ook enige single-successen. Na 1978 begint voor de groep het succes te minderen. Het verloop aan musici neemt toe en de groep verliest haar familie-karakter.
