biografische gegevens van dixie aces De Dixie Aces is een Nederlandse countrygroep. Onder de naam Dixie Aces is de groep pas sinds 1990 actief. Daarvoor opereerde men onder een aantal andere namen: In 1984 treden de groepleden voor het eerst samen op, in Roermond onder de naam The Country Rockers, later THE Silver Bullets. De eerste plaatopnamen worden in 1987 gemaakt. De musici werken nu als The Aces en brengen een EP uit, in 1989 gevolgd door de single "A mess of blues". De groep raakt nu snel bekend en treedt in grote zalen op als Ahoy en MECC, in 1992 zelfs bij het kampioensfeest van PSV. In de jaren die komen blijft de populariteit van The Dixie Aces gehandhaafd. De groep is op tal van festivals te bewonderen en treedt oa. op met The Magic Platters en Flaco Jimenez.
