biografische gegevens van john hammond JOHN HAMMOND is een blanke bluesmusicus uit de Verenigde Staten. John's familie zit trouwens stevig in het muziekindustrie verankerd. Pa was JOHN HAMMOND SR. die bij A&R geldt als de ontdekker van een aantal grootheden. John Hammond Jr., speelt vanaf het begin jaren zestig blues, die vaak teruggaat op de countryblues van de jaren dertig. Naast solowerk vinden we hem ook terug als begeleider (oa. Dr. John en Bob Dylan). Na een erg succesvol verlopen carriere in de jaren zestig en zeventig, wordt het wat stiller.
