biografische gegevens van laurens van rooyen Laurens van Rooyen (1935) is een Nederlandse pianist die aan het Utrechts Conservatorium heeft gestudeerd. Daar ontmoet hij Herman van Veen en beiden richten in 1968 "Harlekijn Holland" op. Van Rooyen treedt in deze periode veelvuldig op als begeleider van Herman van Veen. In 1973 behoort Laurens van Rooyen opnieuw tot een van de oprichters van een muzikaal gezelschap. Samen met Liselore Gerritsen en Harry Sacksioni vormt hij "Een klein Concert". In de tussentijd begin Laurens van Rooyen ook lp's als solo-artiest uit te brengen. Soms zijn deze gevuld met eigen composities. Laurens leverde bv. de muziek voor een aantal Nederlandse speelfilms als "Rembrandt", "Mysteries", "Een vrouw als Eva" en "Een vlucht regenwulpen". Soms ook vertolkt Laurens op zijn solo-albums het werk van klassieke componisten. In 1978 begint Laurens van Rooyen een samenwerking met musici uit wisselende muzikale genres.
