biografische gegevens van ben steneker Ben Steneker is een van de pioniers van de country-muziek in Nederland. Na een muzikale start bij Lydia and the Melody Strings in de jaren 1959-1960 en een enkels singletje in de groep Jane & Ben (1960), begint Ben Steneker in 1960 aan een indrukwekkende solo-carriere. In 1976 begint Ben Steneker de Country Stones, waarin hij een duo vormt met Ine Dijkstra. Ben Steneker heeft ook enige nummers opgenomen met de door hem ontdekte countryzangeres Sandra Vanreys.
