biografische gegevens van 2 brothers on the 4th floor De geschiedenis van 2 BROTHERS ON THE 4TH FLOOR gaat terug tot het begin van de jaren negentig als de broers BOBBY BOER en MARTIN BOER thuis muziek aan het componeren zijn. Deze experimenten zullen leiden tot de single "Can't help myself": makkelijk in het oor liggende techno/house die in januari 1991 in de hitlijsten verschijnt, internationaal succes kent en de naam van de groep bekend maakt. Om de muziek ook live te kunnen brengen gaan de broers Boer op zoek naar een stage-act en hiervoor wordt gekozen voor rapper DA SMOOTH BARON MC en de zangeressen PEGGY THE DUCHESS en GALE ROBINSON. Na een paar singles wordt het weer rustig rond de groep. MARTIN BOER houdt zich in deze tijd bezig met remixes voor oa. Becky Bell en Twenty 4 Seven. BOBBY BOER ontwerpt CD-hoezen. In 1994 wordt besloten 2 BROTHERS ON THE 4TH FLOOR nieuw leven in te blazen. Dat gebeurt met de nieuwe single "Never alone", en met een nieuwe crew: rapper D-ROCK en zangeres DES'RAY. De nieuwe stijl en de nieuwe look van de groep zijn succesvol: "Never alone" wordt een hit en dat geldt ook voor de singles die erop volgen. Ook de albums verkopen goed.
