biografische gegevens van q65 Q65 is een Nederlandse bluesgroep uit Den Haag. De muziek is ruw en onverzorgd en de groep wordt wel de Nederlandse Pretty Things genoemd. De groep bestaat uit: WIM BIELER: zang, mondharmonica FRANK NUYENS: gitaar, sax JOOP ROELOFS: gitaar PETER VINK: bas JAY BAAR: drums De formatie kende een aantal hits maar er is geen sprake van continuiteit: Peter Vink werkt vanaf 1969 mee aan Big Wheel, evenals Joop Roelofs die als manager optreedt. Jay Baar bij Q65 wordt vervangen door Beer Klaasse (ex-Groep 1850). Frank Nuyens maakt in 1971 een solo-album. En ondertussen wordt er door Jay, Joop en Frank ook nog geexperimenteerd met de groep Circus. In 1971 vertrekt Wim Bieler. Hij wordt vervangen door John Fredriksz De groep bestaat dan uit John, Joop, Peter en Beer. In 1972 maken deze heren een single onder de naam Kjoe. Tot 1974 heerst er nu enige mate van rust binnen de groep. De groep valt daarna -waarbij voor korte tijd Ron Meyjes en Joop van Nimwegen nog hebben meegespeeld- uit elkaar.
