biografische gegevens van twenty 4 seven TWENTY 4 SEVEN is een Nederlandse dance-act die in 1989 werd opgezet door RUUD VAN RIJEN. De groep bestaat in het begin uit: CAPTAIN HOLLYWOOD: rapper NANCE: zangeres (= Nance Coolen) De muziek is te omschrijven als hiphouse: er wordt gerapt op een housebeat. Later zou die muziek ook wel Eurodance gaan heten. Eind 1991 ontstaat er onenigheid tussen Captain Hollywood en Ruud van Rijen en dit leidt tot het vertrek van de rapper. Captain Hollywood richt zijn eigen eurodance groep op: Captain Hollywood Project. De nieuwe groep is erg succesvol, in tegenstelling tot Twenty 4 Seven dat rond 1992 zijn beste tijd gehad lijkt te hebben. Nance verlaat zelfs tijdelijk de groep. Met de komst van de nieuwe rapper STAY-C komt het succes echter terug. Nummers als "Slave to the music" worden in heel Europa en Japan bekend. Er volgt een periode van zeer veel optredens. Keerzijde is dat het steeds slechter gaat tussen Nance en Stay-C, die beiden ook solo-singels uitgebrengen. In 1996 gaan ze uit elkaar. Twenty 4 Seven is echter te succesvol om er zomaar meer op te houden. Ruud van Rijen zoekt en vindt een nieuwe zangeres: STELLA. Samen met rapper STAY-C zal zij het album "Twenty 4 hours a day, seven days a week" uit 1997 maken.
