biografische gegevens van blur Blur is een Engelse popgroep die in 1989 debuteert. Na een moeilijke beginperiode (men gaf de groep een levensduur van één hit) vindt de groep in 1993 met "Modern Life is Rubbish" haar eigen vorm. Blur speelt dan popmuziek die duidelijk aansluit bij de Engelse traditie. DAMON ALBARN: vocals GRAHAM COXON: guitar ALEX JAMES: bass DAVE ROWNTREE: drums In 1994 komt het album "Parklife" uit. Er zullen een miljoen exemplaren van verkocht worden, en daarmee wordt Blur een van de meest succesvolle bands uit Engeland. Tijdens de opnamen van "Thank Tank" geeft gitarist Graham Coxon te kennen dat hij de groep wil verlaten.
