biografische gegevens van greetje kauffeld Greetje Kauffeld is een Nederlandse zangeres die in 1957 werd ontdekt door Bep Rowold, de toenmalige leider van The Skymasters. Bep Rowold bleek het goed gezien te hebben want nog in 1957 won een Nederlands team dat o.a. bestond uit Mieke Telkamp, Willy Alberti, en... Greetje Kauffeld het songfestival van Venetië. In 1961 vertegenwoordigt Greetje Kauffeld Nederland tijdens het Eurovisie Songfestival. Ze zal met het liedje "Wat 'n dag" een 10e plaats bereiken. Greetje Kauffelf kent een glansrijke carriere met hoogtepunten optredens in Las Vegas en Los Angeles. In de jaren 70 gaat Greetjes aandacht steeds meer uit naar jazz. Ze werkt samen met beroemdheden als Phil Woods en begint in 1986 haar eigen Greetje Kauffeld Trio. Aanvankelijk met gitarist Peter Nieuwerf en tenorsaxofonist Ruud Brink.
