biografische gegevens van berdien stenberg BERDIEN STENBERG (geboren in Almelo onder de naam STEUNENBERG) is een klassiek opgeleide fluitiste. Berdien volgde een opleiding aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium te Den Haag. Na haar afstuderen (met extreem goede cijfers) gaat ze in de leer bij RAYMOND DELNOYE. Als Berdien Steunenberg maakt ze in 1980 een album met de van FLAIRCK afkomstige violiste JUDY SCHOMPER. Dit album van JUDY SCHOMPER/STEUNENBERG laat makkelijk in het oor liggende semi-klassieke luistermuziek horen. In het midden van de jaren tachtig maakt BERDIEN STENBERG naam met haar vertolking van "Rondo Russo", een werkje van de niet al te bekende Italiaanse componist Saverio Mercadante. Het werd een succes en voor Berdien was het het begin van een internationale carriere. Dat betekent optredens steden door heel Europa, en samenwerking met bekendheden als JAMES LAST en pianist RICHARD CLAYDERMAN. Ook in Japan is Berdien zeer succesvol. Ze zal er, met medewerking van arrangeur KEIICHI OKU een album opnemen. In 1985 werkt Berdien Stenberg eerst samen met violist JAAP VAN ZWEDEN. Ze zijn samen te horen op het album "Ode aan Amadeus" uit 1985. In de jaren negentig ontstaat de samenwerking met TOM PARKER, een man die voornamelijk als arrangeur werkzaam was geweest.
