biografische gegevens van vanilla fudge Vanilla Fudge is een groep uit New York, die aan de wieg van de hardrock heeft gestaan. De band ontstaat in 1966 uit de Pigeons en scoort in 1967 met een cover van de Supremes' hit "You keep me hangin' on". De debuut-lp zal meer van dergelijke covers bevatten. Bezetting: MARK STEIN: zang, keyboards VINCE MARTELL: gitaar, zang TIM BOGERT: bas CARMINE APPICE: drums In 1970 is de populariteit van Vanilla Fudge dusdanig terug gelopen dat de groep er mee ophoudt. Mark Stein gaat naar Boomerang, waar hij maar weinig succesvol is. Tim Bogert en Carmine Appice zullen later de meeste bekendheid krijgen. Om te beginnen richten Cactus op.
