biografische gegevens van powerplay POWERPLAY ontstaat in 1980 en bestaat dan uit: JAN VAN DER MEIJ: zang, gitaar .. ex-vitesse PETER VAN STRAATEN: bas .. ex-valley of dolls LEON KLAASSE: drums .. ex-valley of dolls .. ex-sweet d'buster De groep, die veelvuldig in het voorprogramma van The Golden Earring speelt, laat engelse gitaarpop horen, maar verandert al snel en veelvuldig van bezetting. Middelpunt blijft echter steeds gitarist JAN VAN DER MEIJ. In de jaren tachtig komen we oa. RICK VRIJMAN, MARTIN WARMER, RENE VAN COLLEM, KLAAS JONKMANS en IVO SEVERIJNS tegen.
