SOCIAL DISTORTION is een groep uit Californië
onder leiding van zanger/gitarist MIKE NESS.
Social Distortion bracht in 1983 "Mommy's little
monster" uit, een echte punkpop-classic. Daarna
kwam er echter steeds country-invloed in het spel
van de groep.
In 1999 debuteert MIKE NESS ook solo. Hij laat het
punkgebeuren achter zich en kiest voor rockabilly,
country, blues en swinginvloeden.
